Omar Figueroa Jr. vs. Yordenis Ugas (Welterweight)

Fight Recap:

In a fight that could steal the weekend, Omar Figueroa Jr. & Yordenis Ugas are prepared for a 12 round war.

The Cuban, Yordenis Ugas is wearing white trunks with red trim and the undefeated Texan Omar Figueroa Jr. is wearing solid black trunks.

Here we go:

Round 1.

Yordenis Ugas lands a right hand that knocks the much smaller Figueroa down. Figueroa has a tall order in front of him as he is fighting a full fledged welterweight tonight.

Round 2.

Ugas sitting on his shots and landing very heavy shots. Figueroa lands a nice left. I don’t know how long the tough Figueroa will last tonight, as he looks to be in a mismatch against the bigger stronger Cuban.

Rounds 4 & 5.

A bit of holding is messing the rhythm of the fight, as two boxers seem to be at a stalemate at the moment. Figueroa has weathered the early storm, but eats a lot of leather at the end of round 5.

Round 6.

Ugas is doing enough to win the rounds, but not really impressing anyone. Figueroa doesn’t seem to be able to hurt Ugas, as it’s more of a surviving/ sparring match for Figueroa instead of a PPV at the moment.

Round 7.

The tired Ugas is starting to really unload on Figueroa and the referee is going to have to start keeping a close eye on Figueroa and determine how realistic it is for Figueroa to win compared to the punishment he is taking.

Round 8 & 9.

Ugas landing some nice overhand GGG Style hook punches that are hurting Figueroa.

Round 10.

The fight hasn’t turn out as the firecracker fight I thought it would be, but Figueroa is hanging tough and giving it everything he has in the tank.

Round 11.

Wake me up when this fight is over
