In an old school fight, Canelo and GGG steal the show. It was a very close fight, many rounds very hard to judge. At 36 years old, GGG was awesome and I thought he won the fight, he land the harder better shots especially when Canelo faded from round 9 on. Canelo’s variety of punches to the body, head, shoulders, everywhere was phenomenal.

After the first round being a feel out round, the next four rounds were good for both. Canelo was the aggressor and GGG seamed to be fighting under stress.

5th: Canelo coming forward with lots of energy and throwing a large variety of punches.

6th: Canelo starting to set-up and time Triple G now. GGG Boxing well. GGG a bit slow, his body isn’t doing exactly what his mind is asking it to do.

7th: Canelo staying busy, GGG landing big at the end. GGG’s jab keeping him in the fight.

8th: GGG holding his own but Alvarez has landed the better shots through the first eight rounds.

9th: GGG wins A great round as Canelo is getting tired throwing only single punches and very few combinations.

10th: GGG in Cruise control, landing big punches.

11th: GGG wins another round. Two absolute Warriors going at each other, lots of respect.

12th: In an old-school fight, they sure made the fans happy. A great mixture of punches by both men to close out a phenomenal, phenomenal fight (much better than the first fight).

I thought won the fight by one around or at best another draw. I thought he did the bigger damage to Canelo. Canelo was the aggressor through most of the fight. Canelo “cinnamon” Alvarez went Mexican style tonight!

Chocolatito Vs Fuentes :

Chocolatito knocks out a very game Fuentes. Gonzalez did very well but you can see his age is starting to show. The fighting style he has implemented throughout his career is starting to catch up with him. The combination of his fighting history ( he has had many wars in his career) and the fact that he is still fighting up at 115 -Will work against him when he takes on the very top of the division. It’s alot of fun to watch Chocolatito fight, very fan friendly. Great job tonight!!!
