Cuban Yordenis Ugás returns to the ring on July 20 in an attractive fight against former WBC lightweight champion Omar Figueroa in a WBC elimination bout that will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Ugás (23-4, 11 KOs), 32, has been one of the most outstanding welterweight contenders in boxing, fighting three times in 2017 and 2018. Ugás had an eight-win streak before losing a close split decision against WBC Welterweight Champion Shawn Porter.
“I’m very excited to be back in the ring. Omar Figueroa Jr. is a tremendous fighter, and that’s the style I like to face, I’m an action fighter and the fans are going to have a great fight.” Ugas commented.
