A boxers record often defines him. Mayweather’s 50-0 is very important not only to Floyd Mayweather Jr. but to many of his fans.
Sometimes you have to take a boxers record and throw it out the window. For example, Muhammad Ali had a couple of losses but he is considered the greatest.
Manny Pacquiao isn’t undefeated (maybe not even the top one or two welterweights of his generation), but is an eight division champion and maybe in a few hundred years from now – when people look back at the history of boxing; he is the one name people will remember – similar to Babe Ruth in baseball.
122 pound Mexican Champion Emanuel Navarrete has one loss on his record. I can tell you the first time he fought Africa’s Top P4P undefeated Champion Isaac Dogboe, I had a prefight meeting with Dogboe and warned him not to underestimate Navarrete.
To be fair, Navarrete has never been promoted properly and has never had proper rest for a big fight. He had proper rest for his last two fights and he made Dogboe look like an amateur.
Emanuel Navarrete combination of length, boxing skills, Jab, power and heart of a warrior make him a future star. Watching Navarrete fight is as good as it gets.
Emanuel Navarrete Fights Francisco De Vaca tomorrow night on ESPN in what promises to be another exciting fight.
When it comes to Emanuel Navarrete, records don’t mean a thing. Only proper preparation, focus, determination and rest. That Formula make Navarrete unstoppable.
Emanuel Navarrete is currently ranked #28 on the Boxing Action Magazine P4P depth chart. I believe he is currently a top 15 P4P Boxer with room to grow.
Enjoy The Fight!!!
