Teofimo Lopez vs Masayoshi Nakatani
MASAYOSHI NAKATANI GETS SHORT CHANGED, LÓPEZ GETS NOD
Teofimo Lopez vs. Masayoshi Nakatani
(IBF Lightweight world title eliminator)
Main Event Time:
Masayoshi Nakatani is very big for a 135 pound fighter. It will be interesting to see how draining down in weight will effect his performance tonight.
Brooklyn’s Sensation Teofimo Lopez comes into the ring wearing black trunks with silver trim and Nakatani wearing black trunks with gold trim.
Round 1.
Here we go as two undefeated young lions go at it. Nakatani doing a terrific job of keeping distance and using his height and reach advantage against the shorter explosive Lopez. López has been having some very Grueling sparring and it will be interesting to see how his chin will hold up once Nakatani lands a clean shot.
Round 2.
Nakatani doesn’t seem to have the most accuracy with his punches, but his work is good enough I believe to win him the round.
Round 3.
Very good round for both fighters as both guys seem to be getting a good idea of what they will need to do to win.
Round 4.
Masayoshi “The Gypsy” Nakatani came to America to shock López and we have a fight on our hands. López wins the round to even the fight at two rounds a piece.
Round 5.
López really coming on strong now. López landed to very solid right hands and Nakatani landed a good left. Nakatani having a hard time finding the quick and slippery López. Lopez’s is taking advantage of his speed and doing well at the moment.
Round 6.
The round seems to indicate a stalemate at the moment as both fighters are navigating through waters they haven’t been in before. López fighting probably the only 6 foot -135 pound world-class fighter out there and Nakatani fighting probably the most explosive guy he has ever faced.
Round 7.
Very good round for both fighters as both are showing much determination to put on a show for the fans.
Round 8.
Most exciting round of the fight thus far. Nakatani landing well on López and seems to be coming on now. If Nakatani can get a bit busier he can win the fight.
Round 9.
Good round for both fighters. I like the way Nakatani is boxing as opposed to López who is now throwing one shot at a time.
Round 10.
Nakatani is landing rights and lefts with power on López as we talked about in the being of the fight. Nakatani is dominating right now, but López still has that one punch KO power that he will have to let go in the final round.
Round 11. & 12.
Nakatani wins the final two rounds and should earn the victory with his performance.
Winner: by UD Teofimo Lopez
I thought Nakatani clearly won the fight or I can see the judges having it close, but all three judges basically giving López a Clean Sweep, Come-On, “Clean Up this Sport!!!”
