In surprising and disappointing news, the Junior Welterweight Showdown Unification fight between undefeated champions Regis Prograis (24-0, 20 KOs) and Josh Taylor (15-0, 12 KOs) is now canceled.
Lou DiBella Of DiBella Entertainment who promotes Prograis pulled the plug on the final showdown when fight dates and Financial commitments were not perform it in a timely manner by the World Boxing Super Series Group.
DiBella Entertainment & Prograis pulled out of the contract today and also filed a lawsuit against The WBSS Group.
It is often hard to see the true reason for a decision such as this because Prograis has become a star through the WBSS and currently has many options to make himself rich.
It’s not often the sport of boxing stages a high caliber boxing tournament. A Boxing Tournament involving top level fighters and world champions can get complex in more ways then one.
The News comes as a major disappointment to boxing fans as the two undefeated champions Unification fight played a huge part in a memorable 2019 boxing year.
