Manny Pacquiao crushes Adrien “The Problem” Broner in his return to the United States and Las Vegas. Pacquiao peppered AB with shots all night and won an easy 12 round decision. As usual Broner’s weakness was that he’s simply not busy enough and fought Flat footed for most of the fight. Now with this fight taking care of Manny Pacquiao’s tax issues, the gate finally opened for Mega-Fight II.
As anticipated by The Sweet Science early last year, Manny Pacquiao will probably face Floyd Mayweather Jr. for the second time on Saturday September 14th.
In what promises to be the biggest year in Boxing history already just added the Mega Fight of the Year. When Pacquiao fought Money back in 2015, there fight did almost Five Million PPV buys and easily grossed over $600 Million Dollars making it by far the richest Boxing event in History. Even for Floyd Money Mayweather (who marches to the beat of his own drum) that’s a lot of mullah to stay away from. Since both boxers are part of the same promotion this time, the fight will get done much quicker. A lot of ground breaking collaboration had to take place prior to the first fight in order for them to face each other
in the squared circle.
Mayweather has a record of 50-0 and is considered by many as one of the Best P4P Boxers in history. Mayweather’s last official boxing match was against UFC star Conor McGregor in 2017. Mayweather carried him for most of the fight to give the fans a nice show. He recently boxed Japanese Kick-Boxer Tenshin Nasukawa (fighting outside the United States for the first time in his illustrious career) in an exhibition and TKO’d him in the first round.
Manny Pacquiao is known the world over. He is boxing’s only 8 division world champion and has fought the best the sport has to offer. His exciting style has helped promote the sport around the world and at age 40, amazingly father-time still hasn’t caught up with the legendary P4P all-time Great. Pacquiao is such a rare fighter many say that in hundreds of years from now when they talk about legendary fighters in any combat style, his name will come up first.
Other Mega Fights planned for 2019 are Errol Spence Jr. vs Mickey Garcia in March, Canelo Alvarez vs Danny “Miracle Man” Jacobs in May, Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 2 (summer), and The much anticipated return of the Great Gennady Golovkin.
Also look out for 140 pound Champions Jose Ramirez and Maurice Hooker who have impressed the heck out of me and Jarrett Hurd looks to be the real deal at 154 pounds.
Mayweather-Pacquiao 2, let the talk, marketing, promotions and advertising begin.
