November Boxing Results:
November 3rd Action:
Josh Taylor (13-0, 11 KO’s) vs Ryan Martin (22-0, 12 KO’s) squared off in Glasgow Scotland in The Junior Welterweight (140) World Boxing Super Series Tournament (WBSS) Quarterfinals. Martin showed why he was the number eight seed in the tournament. Martin came into the fight extremely well conditioned, but seemed to have zero experience, Taylor pretty much outboxed him and was the much busier fighter. Taylor’s power and speed kept Martin at bay. Martin started warming up by the forth round and finally let his hands go in the sixth. The first half of the fight was a clean sweep for Josh Taylor. A weird stoppage in the seventh, but it didn’t seem that Ryan Martin was prepared to give everything tonight. Taylor will face Russian Ivan Baranchyk in the Jr. Welterweight WBSS semifinals. Baranchyk stopped Sweden’s Anthony Yigit in New Orleans last week and won the Vacant IBF Title. The doctor stopped the fight when Yigit’s right eye closed up and ballooned to the size of a baseball.
Ryan Burnett (19-0) vs Nonito Donaire (38-5) in the bantamweight (118) WBSS quarterfinals. These two guys came ready to put on a great show. It was a very exciting Bantamweight fight and the younger/stronger Undefeated Champion Burnett was in cruise control until he pulled something when throwing a punch in the fourth round. It’s was really to bad because Burnett was ready to show his skills on the world stage. Hopefully, we will see Ryan Burnett soon. The legendary Filipino Flash continues his great career by advanced to the semifinals against
South Africa’s WBO Bantamweight Champion Zolani Tete.
Darryll Williams (17-0) vs Zach Parker (16-0).
Williams dominated the action from the beginning as Parker claimed an injured left shoulder, which I’m not buying. Parker looked the part but had zero energy, he would keep looking up at the monitor clock every minute of every round – which is very strange. He had no inside fighting skills and would constantly hold Williams for which he was warned many times but never had a point deducted. Williams clearly won the fight; in an embarrassment to boxing, two Judge’s awarded the favorite – Zack Parker the decision over Darryll Williams and the vacant super middleweight British Title. Those are the types of decisions that put a real black eye on Boxing. What was the point of the fight if the judges had previously made their minds up on who the champ would be?
Miguel Berchelt (34-1, 30 KO’s) vs Miguel: Roman (60-12, 47 KO’s) for the WBC Super Featherweight Title in El Paso, Texas. Roman put up a good fight, but was dominated and stopped in the ninth round by Berchelt.
Sullivan Barrera (22-2) decisions Seanie Monaghan (29-2) in Brooklyn NYC.
November 8, on ESPN
Neeco Macias (17-0) vs Jesus Soto Karass (28-13-4). Fan friendly Fight, Karass landing well thru the first 5 rounds, if Karass blocks Macias’s left, Macias really brings nothing. Marias is wasting his talents and his boxing career, really learning nothing, going into the seventh round he’s actually being out worked by someone 10 years older. The ESPN broadcasters have to grow-up and stop laughing and acting like children. They are simply ruining the broadcast and fight, not to much respect from them, I muted the TV after the sixth round, enough with these amateur broadcasters. Instead of acting like paid professionals, there acting like buddies sitting in their living room with beers blurting out whatever comes into there head. Are these guys broadcasters or are they comedians doing a late night show, ESPN is ruining Boxing. Actually, a very entertaining fight, I liked Karass’s performance but I think a Draw is in order. Wow Karass Wins! Congratulations on a great Career and happy retirement. The Rooster needs to understand that he’s better then the style he’s fighting and if he doesn’t make adjustments, he will have a short career.
Manny Robles III (16-0) vs Jose Gonzalez (23-6)-featherweights: Instead of Robles showing of his skills on ESPN, Golden Boy showed off a very weak Farm System.
Saturday November 10th Action:
Cruiserweight Division Night:
Oleksandr Usyk Ko’s an exhausted Tony Bellew in round 8. Bellew tried his best but forgot to fill-up his gas tank to full before arriving.
Mairis Briedis barely got by Noel Gevor (Mikaelian) in a very sloppy fight.
Krzysztof Glowacki showed off his skills and Maxim Vlasov showed his tougness and heart in a terrific fight.
Glowacki and Briedis advance to the WBSS Semi-finals.
Also Cruiserweights Artur “Thunder Man” Mann and Alexey Zubov stole the show and cruiserweight spotlight tonight by putting on an incredible show – a 10 round action packed fight.

November 16th from Oklahoma City:
Maurice Hooker 24-0 vs Alex Saucedo 28-0:
Somebodies O, has got to go. As a fight went live a little bit past midnight (New York time), the atmosphere was electric with top boxers Errol Spence and Terrence Crawford watching on. The Hooker vs Saucedo Fight was fantastic. The first round was action packed as it was Saucedo’s speed and aggressiveness against Hooker’s astonishing 80 inch reach. In the second round Hooker went down and fought his way out of the round. The third round was also action packed and it made me think that this could steal the fight of the year away from GGG-Canelo. In reality it was a great fight but outside of the second round, Hooker dominated the entire fight. In the last few seconds of the third round, Saucedo started getting fatigued. Hooker Rope-A-Doped him a little and finished him in the seventh with some big shots (it was an excellent strategy by Hooker, his corner didn’t like it, but very smart). Saucedo said he had issues with cuts/eyes, what he really needs to figure out is why he was so tired less then midway through the match. Hooker landed big shots on Saucedo the entire fight and made a lot of new fans during his post fight interview. I can tell you right now!!! Maurice Hooker against Jose Ramírez in 2019 would be a Must See MEGA FIGHT!!!
Also undefeated welterweight Egidijus Kavaliauskas (20-0, 16 KOs) Ko’s Roberto Arriaza (17-0, 13 KOs) in the 3rd round.
Also in Philadelphia, 21-year-old welterweight knock out artist Jaron Ennis had his coming out party by knocking out Ray Serrano in the 2nd round, improving his record to 22-0.
November 17th in Kansas:
Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller vs. Bogdan Dinu:
Miller comes out being the aggressor as Dinu moves and boxes landing the better shots. Miller KO’s Dinu in the 4th round with a terrific right- left combination. Miller doesn’t really look like he’s ready for the big time, he is very Hitable and needs someone very stationery in order to land his punches. His chin is still untested but it seems that he might have a glass jaw. He took more damage then it appears in the fight.
Claressa Shields vs. Hannah Rankin:
Hannah Rankin came to the bout well prepared and ready for the biggest fight in her professional career. Only problem was her opponent was stronger, faster, more accurate and just as determined to win as her. Claressa Shields is simply on a different level and probably the best P4P Female Boxer on the planet. Her ring IQ (no wasted movement in the ring), combined with her ability to either
be the aggressor or the counter puncher makes her a tall order for anyone to face. Shields is so relaxed in the ring, her hard work and dedication to the sweet science really shows. Rankin started getting her feet under her a bit in the third round but continued eating a lot of leather throughout the fight. It was a very good entertaining fight. Congratulations Claressa Shields on collecting another title.
Brandon Rios vs. Ramon Alvarez @ 151 lbs:
First of all let me say that you can’t ask for a better fight as two true warriors where in the ring. Alvarez is from a family of Mexican fighters that never back down from anyone and Rios is the best of all warriors, he is in the class of Evander Holyfield and Juan Manual Márquez interms of being a warrior.
Rios was dishing out more then he was taking the entire fight but the bigger Alvarez took his shots well as Rios is much smaller. Rios had a big 5th round and dominated the 7th and the ref stopped it in the 8th as Alvarez was done. Great show for the fans by both men and great win for Rios. Robert Garcia and Rios have a great relationship. Congratulations Bam Bam.
Luis Arias vs. Gabriel Rosado:
Gabe looked real fresh in the prefight warm- ups. These guys finally let the leather fly in the 4th round and Gabe showed his superior skills as the rounds went on. Gabe dominated the 9th and there was a lot of holding and grabbing in the second half of the fight from Arias. The fight was ruled a draw. I thought Gabe really showed up and showed the young Arias something. Hopefully these guys will get 6 months to rest and do it again to see who’s better. Rosado had a good game plan and showed up in shape, Arias seemed aired, lookup for one shot, running and grabbing. Arias did a lot of trash talking before the fight and didn’t really back-up anything he said.
Nico Hernandez vs. Josue Morales:
Hernandez wins an 8 round unanimous decision.
November 24th in Atlantic City, NJ:
Dmitry Bivol (14-0) vs Jean pascal(33-5-1)
Denis Lebedev (31-2) vs Mike Wilson (19-0)

Fabio Turchi (15-0) vs Tony Conquest (18-2)
