JOSHUA / RUIZ REMATCH ALMOST FINALIZED FOR NOVEMBER 29 or December 7th @ MSG
Looks like the holidays this year will be a little more festive. After turkey day and football, Friday November 29, will not only be the biggest shopping day of the year in America, but we also might be treated to the biggest, most anticipated rematch in recent memory.
Boxing Action Magazine has not officially confirmed the Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr. rematch date as of yet. All current indications are that Matchroom Boxing and Anthony Joshua will be leaving money on the table and staging the fight at Madison Square Garden on November 29 (possible December 7th). The Pressure is mounting and the home-field advantage game is going to have to fold.
Anthony Joshua wants redemption to happen in the United States at Madison Square Garden On Friday November 29th ( Black Friday), But Eddie Hearn is leaning towards the rematch happening in the UK on December 14th at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. Hearn wants to clean up the money from the very thirsty UK audience.
Andy Ruiz says the fight will NOT happen in the UK especially after the whole Dillian Whyte testing positive saga, but at the end of the day, it’s all noise as he has no say in the matter via the contact he initially signed to get the world title fight in June of this year.
Leaving Money On The Table:
Anthony Joshua is not known for leaving money on the table. Normally, AJ and Hearn are on the same page as far as cleaning up. This time it is very different for AJ & Hearn.
Lets face it, Anthony Joshua (the biggest name / draw in Boxing) finally made his United States debut and got embarrassed . Little known Andy Ruiz Jr. Schooled the great heavyweight and took his glory and maybe became the biggest sensation in boxing in only one night. Forget Buster Douglas, Every teenager around the world that has a smart device knows who Andy Ruiz Jr. is now.
Matchroom & Team Joshua are trying to color coat it, being cool like a cucumber, acting like nothing happened and they are still in the drivers seat. Make no mistake there is major pressure on Matchroom. Eddie Hearn is sayng its up to Joshua, but at the same time he is being very pushy to stage the fight in the UK for home field advantage and to cash in.
Joshua and Hearn are going to have to put their big boy pants on and fly to New York and do the job they were suppose to do back in June.
Put Up or Shut UP!!!

Andy Ruiz Jr. A True Champion:
In talking to Ruiz, Ruiz said, “I know his flaws, the rematch is going to be the same and I’m more prepared this time and more ready. People thought I wasn’t going to do anything, I was too big, too overweight. I don’t want to say all the things I am going to change. There is going to be a lot of changing, I am going to come at a better weight this time. It’s going to be a hell of a fight.”
