ANDY RUIZ JR will beat Anthony Joshua AGAIN, according to former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson:
Talks are ongoing for the rematch to take place before the year is out, with Wales, the US and even Mexico touted as possible locations.
But according to Tyson, it will be Ruiz Jr getting his hand raised for the second time and keeping hold of the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO world title.
Joshua was beaten by the Mexican underdog back on June 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Ruiz was dropped in the third round only to climb off the canvas and knock Joshua down twice in the same round.
The Brit seemingly didn’t recover from the first knockdown in the fight and was then floored twice more in the seventh before referee Mike Griffin waved the contest off.
JOSHUA NEEDS PASSION
Speaking to ESPN, Tyson said: “[Andy] came the other day, we talked. His energy is wonderful, he is a beautiful person.
“If he did it once, he can do it again.”
Meanwhile Anthony Joshua has admitted he needs to get his “passion” back for boxing.
The 29-year-old old Sky Sports: “I need to soak in the boxing environment again, get that passion back.
“The only fighter I’m interested in right now is Ruiz and beating him good so I can get those belts back.
“The only guys I should be fighting are the best in the world. I feel like I can correct my wrongs.
“I’ve come from a tough background and I know Ruiz beating me is something I can overcome.”
Ruiz is adamant that he wants the rematch to take place in the US or Mexico.
But yesterday Joshua reminded the Mexico big hitter that he doesn’t call the shots.
He added: “We’re doing a lot of talking about what he wants but he doesn’t call the shots. I don’t mind fighting in America because I’ve done it before.
“I went there off my own back so for the rematch I would love it to be in Cardiff but it’s going to be on neutral ground; Ruiz is the champ so he will make some calls as well.”
