At the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland, Jessica McCaskill (7-2, 3 KOs) and Anahi Sanchez (19-4, 11 KOs) clashed in a greatly anticipated female bout.
McCaskill successfully defended her WBC super Lightweight crown, defeating Sanchez by a unanimous decision.
McCaskill locked horns from the opening bell, trading hard unflinching shots throughout the contest. Jessica bloodied Anahi’s nose midway through the bout but her determined opponent intrepidly kept coming. Jessica was able to energetically increase her output in the last two rounds to gain the well deserved victory. She handily won by scores of 99-91, 98-92 and 96-94. McCaskill is now 7-2, 3 KO’s. Sanchez falls to 19-4, 11 KO’s.
