World Boxing Council light flyweight champion Ken Shiro (15-0, 8 KOs) has not been very active since defending his title at the end of 2018.
According to Filipino journalist Ian Melodillar, Shiro may be defending his title against mandatory challenger Jonathan Taconing (28-3-1, 22 knockouts) in June, on the same card as the rematch bout between Ryota Murata (14-2, 11 KOs) and the American Rob Brant (25-1, 17).
Given that Fuji TV, which will broadcast the Murata fight, works well with Ken Shiro’s inclusion.
It’ll be double header aiming to offer Ken Shiro some exposure in the USA market through ESPN, which works with Murata through Top Rank.
