The rematch strike, spark and ignition between World Boxing Council super flyweight champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and Mexican Juan Francisco ‘Gallo’ Estrada will take place tomorrow night at the Forum in Inglewood, California.
Rungvisai (47-4-1, 41 Ko’s) will attempt to make the fourth defense of his crown. For his part Estrada (38-3, 26 Ko’s), commented that in this fight the story will be different.
The WBC recognizes the professionalism of both fighters and their respective teams, as they have complied with all the medical requirements, examinations and safety protocols that are required.
One of the main priorities of the World Boxing Council is the total implementation of the new Weight Management Program, which aims to protect the health of combatants.
For the 30 days pre weigh in, the boxers must not weigh more than 10% of the limit of their division, for the 14 days they must not exceed more than 5% and in the 7 days pre weigh in within 3%.
The fighters must be weighed in at the dressing room of the arena where the fight will take place. Although it is an unofficial weighing, it must be done to monitor that the established percentage is not exceeded.
In this way, both fighters take part in the new WBC weigh in on the day of the fight to verify that neither exceed 10% of what they registered at the official weigh in, to fully comply with the new WBC weight management program .
We greatly appreciate the dedicated of William Boodhoo, who is responsible for promptly following up on all the requirements.
