ANTHONY JOSHUA vs ANDY RUIZ JR for the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO Heavyweight World Championships Titles: 12 rounds:
Anthony Joshua’s reach and high advantage should serve him well as these to giant boxers size each other up. Ruiz (270 pounds) is about 20 pounds heavier then Joshua (250 pounds) but looks fit and ready for Battle.
Andy Ruiz Jr. coming in with a beautiful white and gold rope with gold fur with matching shoes to boot.
Anthony Joshua walking to the ring much to the enjoyment of this crowd of about 20,000 strong. Joshua wearing a beautiful and simple white rope with black trim.
Round 1.
Terrific first round of action and both fighters look ready for war. Joshua heathy and stature is great. Ruiz Looking good dodging a lot of AJ’s punches. Ruiz has terrific boxing skills.
Round 2.
Both men being very careful, almost like a chess match. AJ had a good exchange towards the end of the round, missing with the right, but quickly landing the left. It will be interesting to see how long Ruiz can maintain his energy level.
Round 3.
Joshua lands a big uppercut and right sending Ruiz down. Then AJ gets careless like Pacquiao did and gets really hurt. Ruiz knocks Joshua down twice and dominates the round.
Round 4.
Good round of action. Joshua being very careful now -Pushing his punches a bit. Ruiz is the aggressor and the Boss right now.
Round 5.
The pace has slowed as Joshua gets in a good open stance in the middle of the ring and lands a huge left hand. Ruiz is still the aggressor but as he slows, I can see Joshua going in for the kill. Ruiz’s biggest battle might not be Joshua as much as his stamina.
What a fight!!’
Round 6.
Ruiz won the round doing excellent work. Ruiz aim for AJ’s body and having success landing up and down stairs.
Round 7.
Just as AJ lands, Ruiz lands multiple shots and knocks AJ down. Then again AJ goes down.
AJ says he’s done

Round 1.
Smith lands a huge left hook that Hassan didn’t see coming and Hassan hit the canvas hard. Hassan Survives the round.

Smith lands another big left that collapses Hassan in his spot. Somehow he gets up and keeps fighting. Hassan seems to have his legs underneath him, but needs to see the punches coming or Smith will shorten his boxing career. Hassan from Cameroon Africa is one tough dude.
Round 3.
Another big left and Smith tells Hassan Goodnight.
Smith Destroys Hassan in Three Rounds
KATIE TAYLOR vs DELFINE PERSOON for All Four Major World Championship Titles (IBF, WBC, WBO &WBA) in the Women’s Lightweight Division: 10 rounds:
As the Women make final preparations for their ring entrance, Matchroom Boxing, Madison Square Garden and the Boxing Fans Pay tribute to the Great HBO unofficial Boxing Judge – Harold Lederman.
Wow the MSG crowd going crazy cheering Katie Taylor. Taylor coming into the ring wearing a beautiful- gorgeous purple & gold rope – with matching attire to match. Persoon wearing black with yellow & red Trim attire.
As both Women step into the ring, you can see a clear size advantage for the Ireland’s Taylor. Belgium’s Persoon looks to be about 10-12 pounds lighter then her opponent:
Madison Square Garden is pumped for this fight.
Round 1.
Persoon being the aggressor doing some terrific work in round one. Taylor‘s hand speed is unreal and she just caught Persoon with a huge left hand. Persoon not as fast as Taylor but reminds me a bit of Manny Pacquiao’s Fight Style. What a round, this will be exciting.
Round 2.
Persoon coming out like a lion, taking Taylor’s best Punches and besting her at her own game. Persoon takes the round to even the fight. What a round, what a pace.
Round 3.
Another terrific round of action. I thought the Algieri vs Coyle fight was great, this is much better. Both fighters are having their moments. Both fighters are getting rocked. Persoon is landing more but Taylor’s punching speed is equalizing the fight.
Round 4.
This is as good as it gets! The best two woman boxers at 135 pounds in the world going toe-to-toe.
Round 5.
Just when we thought it couldn’t get better, we just saw the best round of the year.
Round 6.
Taylor taking a lot of damage, it’s hard not to give these rounds to Persoon as she is not only being the aggressor, but she is the Boss right now.
Round 7 & 8. Persoon doing a great job timing Taylor’s and equalizing Taylor’s speed with timing and shear aggression. Taylor needs to change something up as Persoon is putting rounds in the bank.
Round 9.
Taylor came out strong in the first half, but Persoon stole the round in the last 90 seconds.
Round 10.
Persoon dominates Round 10 to put a stamp on the fight. Taylor was game all day, but DELFINE PERSOON was the Man Tonight!!
What a Fight!!
Highway Robbery!!!
Katie Taylor Beats Persoon and becomes the Lightweight Undisputed Champion of the World.
JOSH KELLY vs RAY ROBINSON for WBA International Welterweight title / 10 rounds
Kelly wearing red trunks with white & blue trim and Robinson is wearing Royal blue trunks with beautiful yellow trim. Robinson’s Boxing ring shoes are a perfect match with his ring attire.
Round 1.
Josh Kelly looking very good in the ring. Kelly is boxing and moving well. His hand speed is at another level and it’s a pleasure to watch him performing his version on the Sweet Science.
Round 2.
Robinson (Ray) hanging tough and standing his ground. Kelly’s speed and power just might be a bit to much for Philadelphia’s Ray Ray tonight.
Round 3.
Another good round for Kelly. Ray lands a terrific right hand at the bell and Kelly Answers with a late shot after the bell. Kelly is very talented but he has a bit to go, it will take time for Kelly’s Manager/ Trainer Group to help him shake of the green.
Round 4.
Kelly performing well, he will have to get better and throwing power punches and it’s important he gets a little tighter with his offense. He’s throwing to many wide hooks and looping shots. Performing well though for the level of competition.
Round 5.
Kelly again uses his gifts of speed and reflexes to win the round.
Round 6.
Ray hanging in the fight, Ray doing some
Good work. Ray trained well for the fight and is trying his best.
Round 7.
Kelly’s right eye bleeding a bit as he sits in a corner luring Ray in. I think Ray just won the first round of the fight as Kelly might be taking a breather.
Round 8.
Ray starting to heat up doing some terrific work. I don’t know if Kelly is gassed out or if he’s trying to hustle Ray, but he’s not really doing anything. Kelly did land a nice right hand at the end of round 8.
Round 9.
Best round of the fight as Kelly is doing good work but Ray I think won the third round in a row now. Very entertaining round.
Round 10.
An action packed round as these two tired men give it everything they got. Ray did a great job the second half of the fight. Philadelphia should be very proud of RAY ROBINSON for his great performance.
Looks like Kelly will Edge out the decision thou.
Wow – Excellent Decision- DRAW
SUPRISING BUT FAIR DECISION
AUSTIN WILLIAMS vs QUADEER JENKINS – Middleweight Four Round contest:
Texas’s Williams bombards Jenkins using only offense and sending Jenkins to the canvas twice before the referee stops the fight.
Williams Improves his record to 2-0.
Winner by 1st TKO – Austin Williams
PERIBAN for WBA International Light-Heavyweight title / 10 rounds
England’s Joshua Buatsi looking to impress coming out strong and aggressive. Mexico’s Anotinio putting on a good showing and doing his best to weather the storm. This might be a bit of a mismatch when you compare the competitors speed and age at this point in their careers.
The Referee stops the fight in the 4th round much to the dismay of Periban. Buatsi improves his unblemished record to 11-0.
Winner by 4th TKO Joshua Buatsi
Algieri, who is no stranger to the world title stage, is looking to claim his second piece of the 140lb. crown, having won his first world title in Rocky-esque style, defeating the heavily favored RUSLAN PROVODNIKOV at the Barclay’s Center in 2014.
Chris Algieri comes into the fight against Tommy Coyle under a bit of pressure to win as there is no room for excuses. He is 3-3 in his last six fights and all theee wins come by decision. I believe Algieri got gifted a decision based on name recognition in his last fight back on the 18th of January against Danny Gonzalez.
Gonzalez was the aggressor and dominated the fight with Algieri only fighting in spurts and mostly running the whole fight. Gonzalez was frankly robbed. Algieri looked weak and weight drained in the fight and didn’t have much gas in the tank. In the post fight interview, Algieri blamed his performance on a few factors that to most fans sounded by excuses.
He had a golden opportunity to fight Maurice Hooker with a win in January, but he looked so unimpressed that fight didn’t make any sense. It will be interesting to see if we get the young fresh Algieri tonight that beat Provodnikov 5 years ago or will he reveal that Chris Algieri was only a one hit wonder.
Round 1. Good feel out round for both fighters. Both guys are determined and really have something to prove.
Round 2. Tommy Coyle (Boom Boom) comes out strong and tags Algieri with some good shots that almost out Algieri down. To the New York’s credit, Algieri stands his grounds and takes it and fights back instead of running. Algieri with a good flurry at the end of the round.
Round 3. Excellent round of boxing for both fighters. It seems that both fighters are prepared to go to war and are willing to go out on their shield. Both men being aggressive and staying busy. Very entertaining fight thus far.
Round 4. Half way through the round Algieri lands a huge body shop which really hurt Coyle and sends him to the canvas. Coyle beats the count and finishes the round very strong. What a fight!!!
Round 5. Both fighters pace is slowing down a bit but both of them are landing some very good right hands. Algieri being smart and still focusing on the body and Coyle throwing mostly head shots. These boxers are letting the leather fly at MSG.
Round 6. What a round! It’s a wonder they call Boxing, The Hurt Game. The last minute of round 6 was 100% action with both fighters giving as good as they took. Algieri’s left eye is starting to look very bad.
Hernandez came to fight and showed a lot of heart, but France’s Souleymane Cissokho’ s skills really shined tonight as he improves his professional record to 9-0.
DIEGO PACHECO vs JARED CHAUVIN – Super-Middleweight Four Round contest:
