World Boxing Council super lightweight champion, Josh Taylor, deservedly punched his ticket to the World Boxing Super Series tournament final, with a solid victory over Ivan Baranchyk.
Taylor fights Regis Prograis in the final of the tournament, and the winner will hold aloft the Muhammad Ali Trophy and the prized WBC Diamond belt.
Following Taylor’s triumph, Prograis climbed up into the ring to have his first face-off with the new champ.
“Regis Prograis is the second best boxer in the tournament…he’s a great fighter, but I’m anxious to face him and beat him,” Josh said.
Regis commented: “I’m willing to fight in Scotland! It was a great performance by Taylor tonight, but I was not surprised.. and I now know how I can defeat him. ”
Soon details of the much vaunted match between these pristine warriors of the 140 pounds division will be announced.
