World Boxing Council light heavyweight champion, Artur Beterbiev (15-0, 15 KOs), will defend his title against Chinese contender Fanlong Meng (16-0, 10 Ko’s) on Saturday, March 28 at the Videotron Center in the city of Quebec, Canada.
Beteriev’s exciting come forward aggressive boxing style is making the boxing world buzz and some journalists already have him on their P4P list.
Beterbiev, born in Russia, has established his home in Montreal and will fight for the first time in this country as world champion. This will be the first defense of the WBC title he won by knocking out former Ukrainian champion Oleksandr “The Nail” Gvozdyk.
Artur is doing a great preparation as he will face a complicated undefeated opponent with extensive experience as an amateur. Beterbiev has had tough sparring sessions with fighters Blake Caparello and Isiah Thomas.
