HBO: The worldwide leader in sports and the undisputed champion in boxing entertainment, lost its title this past Saturday.

On a Saturday full of professional sports and good boxing cards and events around the world, HBO, The storied boxing franchise that bought us everyone from Mike Tyson to Manny Pacquiao broadcasted three boxing fights Saturday night featuring flyweights. HBO has the best broadcasting team in The business and all they can feature and budget for are flyweights. That’s like being brought into a fancy/famous sit down restaurant and being served hot dogs. Then HBO wonders why the viewership is down. Boxing is currently making more money than it ever has and shattering PPV records, and the braintrust at HBO comes up with flyweights. I know they probably didn’t plan on the Garcia/ Porter fight being moved to the same date, but that’s still no excuse.

HBO has the audience and the forum, so stop shopping in the discount store and start spending some real money.
Either step up your budget or lower our subscription fees because this is ridiculous. I hope they cut Roman Chocolatito Gonzalez a fat commission check for single-handedly putting the flyweight division on the map and for feeding of his hard work.
