Mexican former world champion Julio ‘Pollito’ Ceja, ranked world number one by the World Boxing Council, will fight ex world champion and third in the rankings, Cuban Guillermo ‘El Chacal’ Rigondeaux; on June 23 at the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas, in a super bantam eliminator.
‘Pollito’ aged twenty six is known for his explosiveness. He has a KO ratio of 84%, with a record of 32 wins, with 28 of them by way of knockout, and three defeats. His camp is in California, supervised by renowned trainer Joel Diaz.
Rigo, Who was gold medalist at the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004, seeks to challenge Mexican Rey Vargas, who`s the monarch of the WBC super bantamweight championship. But first, a complicated test against Ceja.
