For years I have been staying the only one that can beat a young hungry Tank Gervonta Davis is a young immature Tank Gervonta Davis.
Gervonta Davis (21-0) has a 12 fight KO streak and won 20 of his 21 fights by stoppage. After making short work of Hugo Ruiz last month ( February 9, 2019 1st round KO) in Carson, California, Davis is the WBA Super Featherweight Champion and the Boxing Action Magazine 130 Pound Champion.
Following in the steps of a young Mayweather and hanging out with his best friend Adrian The Problem Broner, Davis has showed signs of troubling behavior and there’s fear that he might not live up to his potential. And just when some thought he has finally turned the corner and started to mature, we learn of his lastest run-in with the law.
TMZ is reporting that an arrest warrant has been issued for Davis for allegations of an altercation with a another man at a Mall in Virginia on February 17.
Press Release By TMZ:
Cops say Davis assaulted the guy … and when officers arrived at the scene to investigate — Davis “directed derogatory and offensive language at the officers in a public setting.”
In fact, one witness tells us he watched Gervonta shove one of the officers while screaming obscenities … while his friends were desperately trying to restrain him.
After an investigation, cops tell us they’ve issued a warrant for Davis’ arrest on one misdemeanor count of assault.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of 1 year in jail and a $2,500 fine.
Per a Fairfax County Police Department spokesperson … multiple attempts to reach Gervonta to inform him of his warrant have been unsuccessful.
In other words, if you’re reading this, Gervonta — CALL THE POLICE!!
Davis has to start to make some career decisions, hopefully he makes the right ones.
