WBC super middleweight titleholder Franchon Crews-Dezurn has signed a promotional deal with Golden Boy and will make her return on Thursday, June 20 in Atlantic City, part of a Golden Boy card that will stream on Facebook.
Crews-Dezurn (4-1, 1 KO) made her pro debut on Nov. 19, 2016, facing Claressa Shields, who was also debuting in the pro ranks. Shields won a four-round decision that night, but Crews has gone on to win her last four, including a victory over Maricela Cornejo last September to win the vacant WBC 168-pound strap.
“I’m very excited to sign with Golden Boy as they are a heavy hitter in the boxing business,” said Crews-Dezurn. “Not only will I be working with legendary fighters and now businessmen like Oscar De La Hoya and Benard Hopkins, but being on the roster with vast talents like Canelo gives me something to aspire to as a renaissance woman. You can see Golden Boy believes in women’s boxing. They gave me my first shot at a title on national TV.”
Crews-Dezurn doesn’t have an opponent yet for her next fight, which is in nine days. The main event of that show will be D’Mitrius Ballard vs Elias Espadas, with Eddie Gomez, Mike Reed, and others also in action.
Good Luck Franchon Crews-Dezurn!!!
