Breaking News:
Floyd Mayweather Jr. will take on Tenshin Nasukawa of Japan on December 31st of this year. Mayweather is looking to grow Mayweather Promotions in Japan which makes sense since Mayweather is often called Money.
Fighting Tenshin Nasukawa is an appetizer for a possible major fight in Spring 2019. The fight is created to make the Japanese fan base go crazy and also make them think that it is a real fight.
Tenshin Nasukawa is 27-0 and is very popular in Japan. He is similar to Connor McGregor in terms of Nasukawa is really more of an MMA type fighter as opposed to a boxer. Not only does Nasukawa prefer to use his legs and wrestling style, but doesn’t have much boxing experience at all. He is only 20 years old and constantly leaves his chin exposed for even a novice boxer two land flush. Your going to love this; Nasukawa is a natural bantamweight -118 pounds and has taken fights as high as 126. So not only does he not have any boxing experience, but he’ll also be outweighed by 30 pounds.
Mayweather has a record of 50-0 having held all major boxing titles and defeated greats including Manny Pacquiao, Ricky Hatton, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Canelo Alvarez, Marcos Maidana, Oscar De La Hoya, Andre Berto and Conor McGregor. Just as impressive, Mayweather has multiple records for the highest grossing boxing events of all-time.
For all the Money Fans; get your New Years
Eve plans ready. This fight will not be in Vegas, If your flying out to Japan, the fight will be at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
Updated November 7: Just as quickly and suprisingly as the Japanese fight was announced, Mayweather made it clear today that the fight is off. Mayweather said that the exhibition he had agreed to was a complete misunderstanding and the entire Japanese trip was a disappointment. We all knew it was going to be a boxing match and not an MMA style fight. Mayeather was going to catch alot of heat for boxing someone so green with no boxing experience and worst yet; the kid is 30 pounds lighter then Mayweather and really knows nothing about The Sweet Science.
Update Nov. 15, Mayweather confirms fight is back on!!!
Floyd Mayweather Jr. Confirms Three Round Exhibition Boxing match with Nasukawa in Japan is back on.
