Tonight, at the CUM of Hermosillo, Sonora, Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada (39-3-0, 26 ko’s) will defend his WBC super flyweight championship, against American Dewayne “Stop Running” Beamon (16-1-1, 11 ko’s), in what is expected to be a great fight full of action, with great technique and powerful and speedy combinations.
“I am very excited, very motivated to fight in front of my people in Hermosillo. We have made a great preparation because we know his level and how competitive Beamon is, but I want to give the fans a memorable fight, and I want to tell them that the title stays at home with me, “said Estrada.
For his part, Beamon thanked promoters for the opportunity, and after recognizing the quality of Estrada, warned that he has the talent to defeat him.
“Estrada is the champion of this division, and that’s why I’m going for him. I want to beat the best, I come to his backyard, but I have the talent, the skills and done the work in the gym to defeat him. We’re going to beat him round after round, I have a style which will be very difficult for him, “warned the American.
At the weigh in, Estrada tipped 114.5 pounds, while Beamon was 114.6 pounds.
The fight will be broadcast in Mexico by Azteca 7 and globally by DAZN.
