Carl Froch and George Groves to host joint ‘Evening With’ event five years on from epic rematch
Froch will be talking about the time he knocked Groves out in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley.
Carl Froch and George Groves are set to reunite for a unlikely speaking event later this year.
Five years on from the conclusion of their bitter rivalry – one of the most fierce in British boxing history – the pair will host ‘The Final Say’ in Manchester.
The relationship between Froch and Groves was at it’s most malicious in 2013/14 during which time they had two legendary fights.
First, at Manchester Arena, the ‘Saint’ dropped the ‘Cobra’ early on before being controversially stopped in the later rounds.
This dispute led to a rematch at Wembley Stadium, which was a close affair until Frochlanded the sweetest right hand of his career to knock his rival clean out.
Until very recently their mutual hatred remained, however last month the pair appeared together as pundits for Dave Allen vs Lucas Browne.
While working on the Sky show, their relationship thawed and they have since teased the possibility of a trilogy bout.
Instead of this, on September 28 they’ll host an evening event to reminisce about their two brilliant battles.
