Rances Barthelemy vs Robert Easter for WBA Lightweight Championship.

It’s Main Event Time:

Easter coming out in the black trunks with gold batik and Barthelemy wearing the white with gold and the Cuban flag on the trim.

After three rounds, both fighters look good and it’s about to start heating up.

Round 4. Not to much to get excited about, this seems like a fairly even fight through 4.

End of round seven now and most are in agreement that this is a boring / non-action fight right now. Hopefully things will change.

Barthelemy seems to be the bigger stronger man but he’s now doing anything to stand out.

These guys look like they are playing a game of high five or something- very strange.

Round 8. Ok Easter comes out strong and throw a minute worth of punches. Based on that alone, he takes the round.

Round 9. Easter lands a big right hand at the two minute mark of the round as Barthelemy was fooling around doing the windmill punch thing.

Round 10. This is Boxing and anything can happen, but the first nine rounds weren’t worth a darn. Easter is at least trying to make something happen, fighting and respecting the sport. Barthelemy is just very odd with a Herky-jerky Style.

I give the Showtime broadcasters credit for having fun and keeping the broadcast lively because this fight is brutal to watch, this is torture of the highest order.

Round 11. Easter landing well now and hopefully he earns the decision based on his focus and determination.

Round 12. Unbelievable, Barthelemy keeps dancing around like he did something in the fight.

I think Easter did a bit more then nothing, so he should win. If anything watching this fight made me laugh a lot. That’s how shockingly boring it was.

Just announced that neither fighter landed 10 punches in a single round.

And the Split  Decision goes to – Draw

I guess nobody wanted the Title
