Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan
Crawford is defending WBO Welterweight title.
As the Top Rank Stars clean sweep the undercard, we anxiously await the main event at Madison Square Garden. The few empty seats in the Mecca of Boxing seemed to have filled in quickly as the fighters get ready for their ring introductions.
Khan making the long ring walk in a beautiful white rope a little nervous, but very focused.

As the crowd gets pumped for the fight that has finally arrived, they get treated to a nice blue – laser light show.
Main Event Time:
Round 1. It was a good start to the round until Khan got caught with a soft left that sent him to the canvas early. Khan trying to stand up to Crawford in the closing seconds as he seems not to have all his senses.
Round 2 & 3. Crawford looking to protect himself and looking to throw only power shots. He’s looking to set a trap and make a big statement.
Round 4. Khan taking chances jumping in and taking it to the bigger stronger Crawford. Crawford still looking to make a statement and Khan is starting to slow down. All that movement with Crawford cutting the ring off is makings Khan tired.
Round 5. Good round as Khan doing his best to try to even this fight. Khan landed a few good shots and made Crawford miss a bunch.
Round 6. Crawford getting frustrated and goes low on Khan. WOW – and Khan says he can’t continue and the referee stops the fight.
Crawford wins by Technical knockout.
What did we learn, Crawford isn’t afraid to go low if frustrated. Crawford is strong but a bit slow and hittable.
Khan can now continue the chatter, he can say that he was turning the fight around, he can get another mega fight because of his name. So while the fans lose out, both fighters are winners tonight.
Other Action from Madison Square Garden:
Teofimo Lopez destroys Edis Tatli in 5 rounds.
Top Rank and ESPN are doing a great job of making Lopez look good.
Lopez celebrities with his big back flip after stopping Tatli with a right hand to the body. Lopez improves to 13-0 and increases his stoppage streak to 5.
Lopez adds another highlight reel Knockdown to his exciting young career.
Shakur Stevenson vs Christopher Diaz
Two young bulls get in the ring with only one loss between them. Diaz came to the ring ready for a Battle, but Stevenson seems to be on a different level.
Stevenson very impressive using his skills and distance to set the tone for the fight. Stevenson fighting in many ways like Errol Spence Jr. did last month and is dominating the fight.
Round 5. Getting ugly now as Diaz is starting to look like a punching bag.
Rounds 6-10. Stevenson puts the fight in Cruise control against a tough and game Diaz.
