Undisputed female middleweight champion, Claressa Shields, took a break from her training camp to visit patients at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, prior to her bout against Ivana Habazin, this Saturday at Federal Dort Credit Union, in Flint, Michigan, which will be broadcast live on SHOWTIME.
An undefeated world champion who quickly climbed to the top of boxing, Shields has always had an incessant passion for charity.
The 24-year-old has used her popularity in boxing to become a defender of the water crisis in Flint, her hometown, supports survivors of sexual assault and has organized summer camps to help children suffering with anxiety, anger, sadness and depression.
On this occasion Claressa got along with the little warriors in the hospital, giving them joy, talking with them and taking photographs as well as distributing autographs.
