World Boxing Council Vice President  Houcine Houichi of Tunisia, went to the beautiful city of Belgrade, Serbia, where a great fight for the Mediterranean light heavyweight title of the WBC took place.

It was an exciting fight of the undefeated, with local Marko Nikolic (24-0-0, 11 ko’s) facing Italian Adriano Sperandio (11-0-0, 2 Ko’s).

Nikolic sought at all times to be the aggressor, but the Italian fighter counter attacked, seeking to punish his rival.  Nikolic, won the decision with scores of 96-94, 96-95 and 96-94 twice .

The event was held in the modern Hall of Sports, with an attendance of more than 1,500 people and it was broadcast by the Arena Sports television station. This was an historical boxing card, since the Belgrade government sponsored it entirety.

The Vice President of the WBC, met with local authorities to reiterate the support of the WBC to continue promoting professional boxing in Belgrade.
