The Bare Knuckle Boxing Hall of Fame in Belfast, NY has announced the class of 2020.
This year’s past bare knuckle fighters to be inducted include,
Pioneer Ben Count (1815-1861)
Pioneer Joe Coburn (1835-1890)
Active Joey Beltran the first Police Gazette World Diamond Heavyweight Bare Knuckle Champion to wear the belt since John L. Sullivan in 1889 when he won a unanimous decision on June 2, 2018.
Marie Backus Person of the Year, Sheena Star, bare knuckle, fighter, promoter, cut woman.
Promoter, Bud Reneau, Sullivan-Kilrain 1889 Fight.
Honorary Inductee, Joe Curcio.
Induction weekend will be July10-12 in Belfast, NY at the restored building where John L. Sullivan trained that has much of the original look and equipment used by Sullivan.
President and founder Scott Burt also started the Police Gazette Boxing Corporation that currently continues to be asked to sanction bare-knuckle events across the USA and around the world.
