Jacobs not Busy Enough:
Canelo vs Jacobs will be a good fight: Canelo has taken his boxing game to another level. He is capable of fight many different styles fights. Jacobs has to let his hands go, I think when Canelo gets the win, Jacobs will say, “I wasn’t busy enough.” Jacobs is also the most capable middleweight of KOing Canelo- Jacobs has big power. This is going to be a huge victory for the winner. Depending on the winners performance, they could rise up to #2 P4P.
Estrada vs Rungivisai 3 is a waste of time.
Juan Francisco Estrada dominated Srisaket Sor Rungvisai by simply boxing him and actually had Rungviasi seriously hurt in the last round. No need to see that fight again.
Arum Desperate to Work with PBC.
Bob Arum seems to have sunk to a new low. After having a terrible PPV Card and leaving the MSG fans booing and disappointed, he is now playing the race card – talking about black and white when he knows better then anyone it’s about money, it’s about business.
Gennady Golovkin Jumping Thru Hoops:
Looks like Golden Boy and Canelo are going to make GGG jump through hoops and as De La Hoya said, “MAKE HIM EARN IT”. De La Hoya never said that one of his own boxers have to earn anything. GGG the best middleweight since Marvin Hagler has to earn a fight? That shows how desperate they want that fight I guess.
What if Canelo can’t get another title holder such as Andrade to fight him, would he then insist on a title to get the fight?
First they said GGG has to sign with DAZN, now it’s something else.
Wilder / Joshua both likely to fight Fury first on ESPN PPV.
Joshua / Fury & Joshua/ Wilder would be broadcasted on either Showtime PPV or ESPN PPV, those fights are to rich for DAZN.
Wilder / Joshua is atleast Three Years Away. Wilder and Joshua are both more likely to fight Fury first then each other. Fury/AJ or Fury/Wilder would be on ESPN PPV for $100 a pop. Look for one of those fights in 2020. If both Wilder & AJ stay undefeated, I see a huge Mega-Showdown between them on Showtime PPV in 2022. Eddie Hearn will have to swallow his pride (because there is to much money at stake) and take the 50/50 deal.
Both sides finally admitted this week what I have been reporting for a while, Joshua/Wilder is light years away.
Welterweight Division Heating Up:
With Errol Spence Jr. probably fighting Shawn Porter and Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman this summer, PBC is very well positioned. Danny Garcia might be the top dog right now based on his last performance.
Looks like Floyd Mayweather Jr. is Retired:
Looks like Mayweather is happy with his money, businesses and 50-0 record. If he let’s Pacquiao Fight Thurman, he mighty really be retired.
DAZN setting High Standards:
DAZN is putting on good fight cards, if ESPN and Showtime don’t put on entertaining fights, DAZN has a chance if being the USA leader in Boxing. DAZN is still a Baby by broadcasting / Time standards and has already made a huge splash.
Lomachenko has no Interest in Mikey Garcia or in moving up to 140:
Lomachenko said Pacquiao was to old to fight and not relevant – which means he doesn’t want him. Now Arum says because Mickey Garcia lost to Spence he can no longer get 50% – which means he doesn’t want Garcia either.
Loma will not consider moving up to 140 because he would get crushed by guys like Ramirez and Hooker. So Top Rank is Happy with Lomachenko fighting every six months; advertising how he’s the best P4P guy and fighting no names. With the ESPN machine blowing up Lomachenko, I guess he doesn’t have to fight anyone special to be best P4P. Who did Lomachenko beat?
Bud Crawford didn’t look good:
Crawford didn’t look to good against Khan who I wouldn’t rate in the top 80 Welterweights in the world. I understand Crawford is highly rated by ESPN and Others, I don’t see him as an Elite fighter. Crawford is an A- Boxer. He can maybe beat the B+ guys, but when/if he fights the top 4 or 5 (A and A+) he won’t hold up. He is to slow, and doesn’t have the seasoning and mental strength to make in ring adjustments ( besides low blows) to beat a skilled young lion his own size.
