ANTHONY JOSHUA has warned rivals Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury they should still fear him – despite his shock flash in the pan loss to Andy Ruiz Jr.
The Brit superstar, 29, is preparing to rematch the underdog champion in December – with Saudi Arabia a shock contender to host the lucrative second fight.
Having been left on his hands and knees four times by 25-1 outsider Ruiz, 29, in New York in June, AJ faced backlash from unbeaten pair Wilder and Fury.
But Joshua told JD Sports he is still the No1 in the division – and will use his career defining night against Ruiz to prove that and become a two-time world champion.
He said: “If you put me and Ruiz in a machine, nine times out of ten I should beat him.
“That was just his night. He got the win and we get to do it again at the end of the year.
“I’ve taken Ls. I know how to fight and I know I’ll beat most of these top heavyweights.
“The day I stop is the day they shouldn’t fear me. But until then, just know I’m knocking on everyone’s door and I’m coming. I’ve done it once, I can do it again.
“I’ve won, I’ve unified the division twice, become heavyweight champion. I’ve been put on my back, I’ve lost. I’m an experienced fighter, so we’ll see what more I have to give.”
Wilder, 33, and Fury, 30, – who fought to a contentious split-decision draw last year – look set to rematch in February.
First the WBC king will fight veteran southpaw Luis Ortiz – who in March 2018 gave The Bronze Bomber hell before being beaten in round 10.
Fury, meanwhile, will return to the US having beaten Tom Schwarz in June on his Las Vegas debut.
The Gypsy King is rumoured to be returning to Sin City with unbeaten Swedish southpaw Otto Wallin in line for a September fight.
