Conor McGregor / Paulie Malignaggi:
Paulie has to stop calling McGregor out. McGregor can fight anyone on the planet he chooses and make big money so there is no reason for him to fight someone he can beat with one pinky and with no name recognition whatsoever. He’s the following about Malignaggi:
1. Legs are completely shot
2. Can’t even hurt a flyweight with his punches
3. More famous for broadcasting then he is for boxing
4. Made a lot more noise with his hair then his skills in the ring
5. Not only is this guy overrated but probably the worst featured network boxer of all time
Results: Paulie did a great job of saving him money and should concentrate on his Showtime broadcasting career (he is vocally talented and has a lot of passion for boxing) and shut his mouth about fighting again. He should also remember that there is over 1,000 retired American boxers who can easily step in and do a better job in his broadcasting position.
Luis Ortiz vs. Dillian Whyte on December 22:
I really do hope that this fight is confirmed and King Kong knocks Whyte into next week, I’m starting to dislike promoter Hearn very much. He is completely full of drama and tries to lowball every contender that tries to fight a boxer in his stable. He’s lucky Kell Brook signed with him early and put big money in Hearns pockets.
Brandon Rios vs. Ramon “Inocente” Alvarez:
Bam Bam is confirmed to be fighting Canelo’s older brother on November 17 at a catchweight of 151. First of all Rios is really a Jr. Welterweight (140 pounder). I understand him taking the fight because he is a prizefighter and he’s looking to make money of course, but the Alvarez brothers should really be ashamed of themselves, doing all this catchweight junk ( how is a slow 140 pounder gonna hurt a 175 pounder) . I don’t understand why these two guys never wanna fight people their own size, I have a lot of respect for Canelo but he’s never made a great list at welterweight or junior middleweight because he’s never really fought at his weight class yet, except for the last two years. When he did fight at 154 he fought legends that where very old. In my eyes Canelo still has a lot to prove to be considered a great.
Gervonta “Tank” Davis:
Thumbs down for Mayweather promotions as they are not keeping this young lion busy with fights, he has be asking to Free Tank.
Either step up and get some fights for this kid or please let him go before you waste his career. I was very disappointed in Davis‘s behavior a few weeks ago at the Barclays Center during the Garcia -Porter fight. Hangingout with Broner and acting very childish. Instead of taking a page out of Broner’s book why doesn’t he try to take a page out of Errol Spence’s book ( this kid really needs guidance and not from Mayweather-Broner). Spence is proving you don’t have to act stupid and you can be a respectable young man and still be admired by the boxing universe and be the best p4p boxer in the world. ( and still buy jewelry)
Mayweather -Pacquiao ll
This fight is actually starting to take shape as Showtime is getting the gears moving to have a Blockbuster PPV Event in the first half of 2019.
Deontay Wilder versus Tyson Fury:
These two heavyweights are set to battle on December 1, 2018 in a Mega bout. Don’t hold your breath that these two will step into the ring in December, healthy and ready to go, but if they do it will be a very exciting match up.
Naoya Inoue:
Naoya “The Monster” Inoue makes short work of Juan Carlos Payano last week in Japan. He also confirms that despite what some of the high profile boxing news outlets says, he is a top 3 p4p boxer in the world and moving up. Despite all the criticism, The Sweet Science have had him at #3 since it’s inception in Summer 2018.
Kōsei Tanaka Decisions Sho Kimura:
Kōsei Tanaka breaks into the top 10 P4P list with a victory over Sho Kimura in a Fight of the Year candidate on September 24, 2018. In only 12 professional bouts, Tanaka became the fastest boxer to win world titles in three different weight-classes tying the great Vasyl Lomachenko.
Minimumweight Champion (105) 2015-2016
