8 x 2 minute rounds/ Jr. Lightweight division     Shelly Vincent vs Simone Da Silva

After two hard fought / well publicized decision losses to Heather Hardy, Providence’s Shelly Vincent takes on tough Braziel Simone Da Silva. Shelly has stated that this will be her fight professional bout and we is happy to have it at home in the dunkin’ Donuts Center, Providence, RI.

Round 1.

Good pace to the first round and Vincent is being careful not to over extent herself and possibly run out of gas in the final rounds.

Round 2.

Excellent round for Brazil’s Simone Da Silva as she is landing some very nice combinations leading with a long left hand. Silva doing a good job fighting tall and using her reach advantage against the Short Vincent.

Round 3.

Vincent comes back and has a good round leading with aggression and doing some good work to Silva’s body. Vincent was able to get in close without getting tagged to much.

Round 4.

Da Silva has a good round pressing the action and winning the round by pressing the action the entire two minutes.

Round 5.

Vincent comes back and lands some very good hooks to Da Silva head – winning round five.

Round 6.

Very close round as both come combatants had moments during the round, neither boxer was able to land anything meaningful to really wow the crowd.

Round 7.

Lots of action as both warriors are looking for the win. Both women giving it everything they got in an action packed round 7.

Round 8.

Excellent round of action to finish this terrific battle. Both boxers had their moments, but it seems that Da Silva landed a few more good shots and may have won the round. I can see this fight a draw as it was a very close contest.
